About us...

Our class is a group of seven Year 7 pupils, led by Teacher and Informal Pathway Leader Anna Collins, supported by PPA and HLTA staff Louise Angus and Adam Pallas, alongside our dedicated Teaching Assistants Holly Bradshaw, Daniel Kershaw, Shaymaa Al Battat and Kelly Bandeira (Supply).
We are an informal class where pupils learn best through practical, sensory and hands-on experiences that make learning meaningful, engaging and accessible. Sensory learning is at the heart of our classroom, with pupils exploring new concepts through movement, touch, visual supports, sensory play, outdoor learning and real-life experiences. These approaches help our pupils develop understanding, build confidence and become active participants in their learning. We work hard to support the development of communication and independence skills, while helping pupils build strong relationships, self-esteem and resilience. Our class benefits from regular support from Speech and Language Therapy and Occupational Therapy, ensuring that every pupil receives specialised guidance tailored to their individual needs. We love having fun, and every day is filled with creativity, curiosity and a little bit of magic, creating a safe and exciting environment where our pupils can learn, grow and achieve their very best.
