Qualifications at Hill Top 

At key stage 4 and 5 all candidates will be entitled, and enabled, to achieve an entry for qualifications from an external awarding body.

English

GCSE – AQA

Functional Skills Level 1 and 2 – NCFE these are available on demand. Arrange with Exam Officer

Entry Level 1, 2 and 3 – NCFE

Moderator visiting school after October half term.

Pupils need to complete.

Writing and Reading papers as well as speaking and listening section can be completed at any time before moderators visit.

If a pupil fails to achieve a pass on the Writing or Reading paper, they may re-sit a different paper at the same level.

Speaking and Listening requires 1 pupil/group to be recorded as evidence for each level per class. If all pupils in the class are working at the same level, then only one recording is required, if pupils are working at different levels, then 2 or 3 recordings are required.
