About us...

Mrs Williams is the class teacher, supported by teaching assistants Mrs Brown, Mrs Szabo and Mrs Thompson in A8. Together, we work hard to create a welcoming, safe and nurturing environment where every pupil feels valued.

Our class follows the semi-formal pathway, with a focus on four key areas: Functional English, Functional Mathematics, Wellbeing, and Independent Living Skills.

Everything we do is centred around the individual needs of our pupils. Sensory experiences are woven throughout the day to support regulation, helping pupils explore the world around them, engage with stories, develop mathematical understanding and enjoy meaningful play. These experiences support the development of skills across all areas of learning.

The adults in A8 encourage and support every pupil to achieve their full potential as they work towards becoming as independent as possible, whatever their future pathway may look like after Hill Top.

We may sometimes come home a little messy or muddy, but you can be sure we have been busy learning, exploring and having lots of fun along the way.
