We are friendly and welcoming class made up of pupils across Key Stages 3 and 4. Our class currently includes four Year 8 pupils, 1 Year 9 pupil and 2 Year 10 pupils. We are supported by a dedicated and caring team made up of our class teacher Miss Austin, our teaching assistants Mrs Wilson, Miss Crake, Mrs Freeburn and Mr Dix, and HLTA Miss Angus. 

Every pupil in A6 is unique, with their own personality, interests, strengths and individual ways of learning. We work closely as a team to get to know each pupil and understand what motivates them, what they enjoy and how best to support them. We believe that building positive relationships is an important part of helping pupils feel safe, confident and ready to learn. 

We follow an informal curriculum with learning adapted to meet the needs of each individual. Our days include a wide range of practical, sensory and hands-on activities, giving pupils an accessible and meaningful learning experience.
