The Art options group are going on a visit to Newcastle University Hatton Gallery on 17th February 2011. Pupils are going to see an exhibition of portraits from the Arts Council Collection. They are also going to take part in a workshop at the gallery. These Year 10 and Year 11 pupils have been developing their own creative work around the theme 'Myself' for an Entry Level Art Unit.

Our Year 10 and 11 groups went to see a performance of Queen music at Newcastle College.

We had a great time and the show by the College's Performing Arts Department was excellent.

We have been investigating good conductors in science and found out that aluminium is a great conductor. Now we are investigating good insulators.
