Hill Top School successfully achieved the status of a Specialist Arts College in September 2010.

This gives school the opportunity to develop the arts within school and also with partner schools and community groups.

Our fabulous hall will be developed as a theatre space with new lighting and blackouts which will provide vocational learning opportunities for all our pupils, and will provide a rehearsal / performance facility for the area.

A new state of the art multi sensory interactive space is to be created to provide new ways of creative expression for our young people with complex needs.

A young persons theatre group is to be established which will integrate our young people with students from main stream schools and colleges.

A community choir is already rehearsing every Wednesday during term time from 3.45 to 5 pm for any one above the age of 16 who would like to come along and sing.
