Four young people have achieved Gold Duke of Edinburgh Award and on March 23 will be presented with their awards. Four new boys have joined DE and will have completed their Bronze by the end of the Summer Term, following two hopefully successful expeditions.
This is a chance for our students to learn and develop skills in cookery, health, people and the community. This is a very popular club and we have limited spaces.
This is a very popular club at Hilltop. We constantly look for the adventurer in everyone. This includes educational residential visits...and lots of fun in the community.
For the past four years Hill Top has had an after school Duke of Edinburgh Club run by Mrs Whitehead and Mrs Purvis.
We have had success with 4 pupils achieving Bronze , Silver and more recently the Gold Award.
The group has experienced travel to London, Working aboard a Narrow boat on the Grand Union canal, dry stone walling, canoeing, abseiling, walking, mountain biking.
