Educational Visits



The Art options group are going on a visit to Newcastle University Hatton Gallery on 17th February 2011. Pupils are going to see an exhibition of portraits from the Arts Council Collection. They are also going to take part in a workshop at the gallery. These Year 10 and Year 11 pupils have been developing their own creative work around the theme 'Myself' for an Entry Level Art Unit.

Today we visited the Angel of the North. Pupils in Year 8 study sculpture in the local environment in the Spring Term. They make drawings and notes and develop their creative work in relation to this famous landmark by Anthony Gormley.
