Ms Colquhoun visits New Delhi, India

Ms Colquhoun is visiting India in her role as President of NASEN and on behalf of our school. She is taking presents and letters from the children and we wish her a successful trip.

She leaves to visit Tanama School in New Delhi on February 10th which caters for pupils with Autism.
Pupils have written letters to the children in the school and we are looking forward to hearing more about India in the run up to and after her visit.

It's a Wiz!

Mrs Thompson is busy with rehearsals for "The Wizard of Oz". Preliminary auditions have been held for Dorothy, the Tin man, the Lion and the Scarecrow. The date for the performance is likely to be in June - just before the Year 11's leave school.
The main parts are going to be hotly contested and it is looking very good so far.
Invitations will be sent out nearer the time.

College Links

Pupils in 11A and 11B have started the college links course on 10th January. Some pupils make their own way to Gateshead College every Wednesday morning and the rest go down in the school bus. They have lessons in Life Skills, Literacy and ICT with support from school and college staff. The three groups join up in the college canteen at lunchtime and meet with other college students including some of our previous pupils. College meals are nice but more expensive than school and there is a shop selling a range of items.
